TEACHING AND OUTREACH
I uncovered my passion for science communication and teaching when I was a Teaching Assistant for my first neuroscience course during my undergraduate degree. Since then, I've TA'd other math and pharmacy courses, and tutored math, physics, and astronomy courses.
Most of the outreach activities I've been involved with are oriented towards helping high school and undergrad students navigate university and engage with postsecondary education and careers in STEM.

RECENT OUTREACH INITIATIVES
COMSCICONCAN
As a member of the organizing committee for ComSciConCAN 2023, Canada's national science communication workshop for grad students, I co-led a science ethics panel, secured funding, developed programming elements, led networking sessions, invited science communication experts and led the creation of the executive report following the conference in July 2023.
ZOOM A GRAD STUDENT
I am a grad student facilitator for Zoom a Grad Student, an initiative run by the Medical Biophysics Graduate Student Association at U of T. The goal of this program is to connect graduate students with high school students in the GTA to give them insight into the day-to-day life in grad school and careers in STEM.
UTCSP KT COMMITTEE
As a member of the University of Toronto Centre for the Study of Pain knowledge translation team, I summarized recent research articles to disseminate knowledge on pain science. I also worked with the knowledge translation team to organize quarterly translational seminars with international pain experts to link pain research and education.
